Still need some convincing? See how the Kia Sportage compares to the competition.

The 2017 Kia Sportage beats the competition

2017 Kia Sportage vs. the 2017 Honda CR-V

  • Base Price MSRP: The Kia Sportage offers an MSRP of $23,200, which is more affordable than the $24,045 MSRP the Honda CR-V comes with.
  • Peace of Mind: The Kia Sportage is backed with 60-months or 60,000-miles of basic warranty coverage. The Honda CR-V won't leave you feeling confident for long with only 36-months or 36,000-miles of basic coverage.
  • Comfort and Convenience: Heated front seats, multi-adjustable driver's seat, dual-zone temperature control, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror, the Kia Sportage truly has it all. Unfortunately, you won't find these features on the Honda CR-V.

2017 Kia Sportage vs. the 2017 Ford Escape

  • Standard Horsepower: Performance enthusiasts, rejoice. The Kia Sportage kicks out 181 horsepower. The Ford Escape lags behind with 168 horsepower.
  • Performance and Handling: Alloy wheels are designed to improve handling and steering precision. With this in mind, we're happy to report the Kia Sportage comes standard with alloy wheels. If you want alloy wheels on the Ford Escape it will cost you extra as it's an optional feature.
  • Safety: In the passenger crash test performed by the NHTSA, the Sportage scored a five out of five. The Ford Escape scored a four out five in the same test.

2017 Kia Sportage vs. the 2017 Toyota RAV4

  • Base Price MSRP: The Kia Sportage proves that it's the more affordable option (again). The Toyota RAV4's MSRP is priced higher at $24,910.
  • Fuel Economy: While both crossovers offer the same EPA-estimated 23 city, 30 highway mpg, the Sportage offers more fuel capacity than the RAV4.
  • Safety: The Sportage earned five out of five stars in NHTSA's front driver crash test and passenger crash test. The RAV4 earned four out of five in the same tests.
