The 2017 Kia Soul Takes on the Competition

The 2017 Kia Soul vs. The 2016 Jeep Renegade

  • While the 2017 Kia Soul is available with a 201-horsepower 1.6-liter turbo engine, the Renegade's top 2.4-liter is only able to achieve a mere 180-horsepower.
  • LED Positioning Lights are offered on the Soul’s top trim. Meanwhile, no such feature is available on the 2017 Jeep Renegade.
  • The 2017 Kia Soul offers features such as power folding exterior mirrors and LED front fog lights. Unfortunately, this year's Renegade isn't available with such features.
  • Unlike the Jeep Renegade, the Kia Soul serves up an available 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with power lumbar support.
  • The 2017 Kia Soul vs. The 2016 Honda HR-V

  • Unlike its competition, the Kia Soul offers a choice of three engines with up to 201-horsepower, while the single HR-V engine only puts out 141-horsepower.
  • While the following features are available on this year's Soul, none are available to HR-V shoppers: Lane Departure Warning System, Forward Collision Warning System, Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, power folding exterior mirrors, and LED front fog lights.
  • Ventilated front seats and heated outboard rear seat cushions are available on the 2017 Kia Soul but neither features are offered on the HR-V.
  • While Soul owners have the option of a heated steering wheel for cold mornings; this feature is not available to HR-V shoppers.
  • The 2017 Kia Soul vs. The 2016 Nissan Juke

  • Available LED Positioning Lights are offered to Kia Soul shoppers, but this feature is not available on any trim of the Nissan Juke.
  • The 2017 Kia Soul comes standard with UV-reducing solar control glass; unfortunately, no such feature is available on the Juke.
  • The Kia Soul is available convenient driver features, such as a Lane Departure Warning System and a Forward Collision Warning System. However, neither of these systems are offered on the Juke.
  • Unlike the Nissan Juke, the Kia Soul is available with ventilated front seats and heated outboard rear seat cushions.
